Happy Birthday!!!!

Happy Hump Day!  I don't know about you, but this weeks is flying for me. That may be because I have been so busy these days.  I haven't had a chance to color in almost a week :( It will be next on my list though....
Today's project was created for this weeks Stampotique Originals challenge, which is to create something winged.  Well, when I think "winged", I tend to think bird, and I knew I was going to go with my Birdy Up from Stampotique, and I thought they would look super cute in Stampotique's Carousel , and then I added Stampotique's Happy Birthday to you saying. This was as super fun project to create, and it definitely covers the winged challenge. Wanna a chance to win $30.00 worth the Stampotique Originals product??? Well then hope on over to the Designers challenge blog and join us for this weeks challenge.  The only requirement is that you follow the challenge and use RUBBER STAMPS only, no digital...Also, you have got to check out the DT creations, they are nothing short of STUNNING!!
Have a great day and Happy Creating!

Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge: favorite Embellishment

Happy Tuesday!!! Here we are for another Going Grey challenge, and this week we have a super easy challenge for you....This week we want to see what you can create with your favorite embellishment.  This was an easy one for me, as I use the gems as my "go to" embellishment, which makes it my favorite.  I definitely consider myself embellishment challenges, so the gems are an easy embellishment for me to use and fill empty space.  My second favorite is ribbon, which I used on my card.
What do you like better, Digi images or Rubber stamps???? I would say, I am right in the middle.  They both have their benefits, but the thing I like best about digi is the ability to change the size of the image, which I did in today's project.  I used Rick St. Dennis's Basket of Love Digi, and sized it to fit both my card, and my candy holder, which just happens to be a McDonald's kids meal fry container, which I altered.  I can't help myself, I see containers and think..hmmmm..what can I do with that.  Anyway, I was able to alter the size to fit both my card, and candy holder, and that is the main reason I love digi images. Why do you love Digis, or do you????

I'm not sure about you, but I am completely over winter. I have had it with the snow, ice, and temps below 10 degrees, and with that being said, last weeks Snowman challenge TOP 3 are:

                                                                                  Deanne

If I Only Had a Heart......

Happy Sunday. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  We have spent most of the weekend inside, as we had a bit of a snowstorm.  The weathermen predicted a trace to 3 inches, well, they were WAY off....It started yesterday morning, and the snow came fast and furious. We were at one of my daughters Gymnastics competitions and what was supposed to be a 45 minute drive, turned into 2 hours and 45 minutes, and for all of that 2 hours and 45 minutes, my husband and I had to listen to my daughter complain about how HUNGRY she was...UGH...We would have stopped, except my son had a hockey game, which we were trying to make it to. We got all the way to our town, when they cancelled it....needless to say, my Daughter finally got food...LOL....  The rest of the day was spent in our Pjs, which is how I like it.  Unfortunately, it doesn't happen often enough...
So, today I would like to share with you, my newest Stampotique project...If you know my style, you may be a bit shocked....what's missing??????  DESIGNER PAPER...this may be the fist card I have ever made without DP, and you know what.....I love it...It was so nice to use my stamps to create my back ground.  I am also a complete sucker for hearts and everything Wizard Of Oz.  It is one of my all time favorite movies. I used all Stampotique stamps on this card.  I used Tinman, Daniels Hearts, and A Heart sentiment.
I am off to shovel. I hope you are having a great weekend, and thank you for stopping by.  Happy Creating!

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Snowmen

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was much to short, and packed full of events.  My son Ryan had 3 hockey games and my daughter Abbey had a gymnastics meet, which I have to take a minute and brag a little. She has been a gymnast for 7 years, and has dealt with different fears, including tumbling in the air, but with hard work and perseverance she has overcome these fears, and on Saturday, she had the meet of her life.  She awarded on every event and placed 3rd all around.  I am never going to forget the smile on her face that day. I am extremely proud of her!!!
Here is a pic of her with her medals and trophy. Do you see that smile on her face....Priceless!
Ok, ok, enough of me bragging, lets talk about this weeks challenge......

This week we want to see your Snowmen themed project.  This  week, I used The Frosty Digi Stamp by Rick St. Dennis, and created this snowman card.  I don't know about you, about I am so over winter, and all the snow and ice...I am longing for spring.  This most likely will be my last "winter" themed card, as I am ready to spring forward.......So, do you have snowman projects that you would like to share with us this week?????

Last week the entries for the "something New" challenge were amazing.....As always, it is so hard to pick the top 3, but without further A Du, last weeks Top 3 are:

Love With Your Whole Heart!

Happy Wednesday!!!!  I am super excited about today's post, as it is my first "official"  challenge post with Stampotique Originals....As you can see, I have totally jumped into Valentines Day.  I can't help myself. I am a complete sucker for all the seasonal product, and Red is my FAVORITE color, and this is the time to use it :)
This weeks challenge is to use "something new".  Well, that is an easy one for me, as my stamp and DP are new.  I used Stampotique Originals Hazelheart on my card, and paper pieced her dress, boots and heart.  Man, it has been a long time since I have paper pieced.  I almost forgot how much I like to do it. On the Gift card holder, I used the "Love with your whole heart" sentiment. The sentiment is perfect to use on a gift for anyone, which is a good thing, as I am not sure who will be the owner of this Valentine set...LOl....
So, did you get something new for Christmas????  Wanna a chance to win $30.00 worth the Stampotique Originals product??? Well then hope on over to the Designers challenge blog and join us for this weeks challenge.  The only requirement is that you follow the challenge and use RUBBER STAMPS only, no digital...Also, you have got to check out the DT creations, they are nothing short of STUNNING!!! I am super proud to be part of such an amazingly talented team.  They are all such an inspiration....Every time I see their work, I first drool, and then my wheels start turning and I am then off to create....If you don't believe, see for your self...They really are amazing!!!  Well, I hope I have started your wheels turning, and I look forward to seeing your project on the Stampotique blog!! Happy Creating!

Happy New Year!

Happy New year!!!!  Here we are, a new year with blank pages, just waiting to be filled.  2013 proved to be a very sad and trying year for my family and I, with the lose of My Father-in-law. I know he would want us to be happy and that is what I am hoping to do in 2014.  While I will never forget my FIL, I am going to try move forward and remember all the happy times we had together as a family.  I am also going to make 2014 a bit about myself.  With all of the stress of last year, I let myself go a bit.  I had lost 30 pounds in the beginning of the year and as my FIL got sicker and sicker, I stopped going to the gym, and started stress eating, and I completely gave up on my healthy lifestyle, as anyone who has dealt with weight issue, knows that leading a healthy lifestyle and eating healthy is a job in it's own.  It takes work, and planning, and I just didn't have it in me in the end, and I ended up gaining back all the weight I had lost.  So, I am not making any New years resolutions, I am going to just do my best, and try to get back to the gym and start eating healthy again, and I guess, I should stop with the Edys Ice cream.....LOL......

So, I have a fun new card and image to share with you today.  Today is the first Saturday of the month, and that means Rick St. Dennis Freebie challenge.  In case you are not familiar with Rick St. Dennis, every month he gives a free image in his monthly news letter and then he host a challenge with the image.  You can sign up for the newsletter here, and check out all of Rick's amazing images here.  This months image is Baby Bacchus, which I used to create this very simple card. This image was super fun to color.  So, hopefully you are on Rick's newsletter mailing list and will join us, otherwise, you can purchase Baby Bacchus here and play with us.   Either way, happy Creating. I can't wait to see what you make :)
