Keep Calm and Journal It out!

Happy Hump Day!!! Here we are at Wednesday already. This week is going by quickly, which makes me happy.  I am ready for the weekend already :)
So it's Wednesday and and Wednesdays on my blog mean Stampotique Designers challenge. Sadly, this is my last week playing with the Stampotique Design team.  My month is over and I have had a great time playing with such talented ladies. Every week they make drool over there creations.
This weeks challenge is "Do what you Love".  I love to journal, and not only did  I make a journal page, but I made a journal page about journaling....hehehehe.  This is a pretty basic page, but I completely love the supergirl
image from Stampotique. She is perfect for so many different projects.  I colored her with copics, and then cut her out to add to my page.  I used Dylusion ink spays, and Dylusions border stamps. My saying is computer generated.  I hope you enjoyed my journal page and if you are looking for some amazing inspiration, you should head on over to the Stampotiques Designers Challenge, and come an play with us.....
Well, that is all I have today. I hope you have a wonderful day and week. Happy Creating :)

So, I know not Love in your "typical" sense, but I am not typical and neither is this canvas...LOL...but I sure do hope you enjoy my canvas......

Life isn't about waiting......

Happy Hump Day...we are half way through the week.  I am really looking forward to the weekend. Why you ask, well, It isn't jam packed with plans. The kids have 2 sporting events, but beside that we are free....it isn't often that we as a family have weekends like this, I cherish them when we do....
Today is Wednesday and Wednesdays for the month of January = Stampotique challenge day!!!  The challenge this week is to use your  New Years resolution as your inspiration!  One of my New Years resolution is to let more things go and spend more time enjoying myself.  I admittedly am a worrier and I hope that this year, I can put my worries behind me and do more dancing in the rain.  This is a very simple journal page, but I kind of like the way it turned out.   Did you see my rainy day in the corner....How cute is he.  He is a rubber stamp from Stamotique originals......He has friends that look just like him too.....You can check them out here.
Well, I hope you will join us over at STampotique and play with us.  Hope you have a great Wednesday and I will be back soon.  Have a great day!

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Snowmen

Happy Tuesday Evening....So sorry that I am posting late this week.  As I mentioned in my last post, my Son had the flu, and then by the weekend, it had hit me and I was in bed most of the weekend.  While, I love to sleep, I do not enjoy sleeping when I have no other options....I was exhausted and had absolutely no energy. Needless to say, I fell behind in all I needed to get done and that included blogging. By the time Monday night rolled around, I was just to tired to get it done....I know you don't mind (wink).
Here we are in the middle of winter and we are going to celebrate that with a winter challenge....This week we want to see your SNOWMAN cards.....for this challenge, I used The Large Snowman Post from I Brake For Stamps.  I really wish the pic came out better, as the stamp is so detailed and the pic doesn't catch it that well...Not only does the stamp make a great winter card, but a fabulous Christmas card as well...Love it!
The entries for the last "Something New" challenge were FABULOUS!!!! You all are so talented.  It is always so hard to pick the TOP 3, but after drooling over all your creations, the TOP 3 are:
Tracy: Love the simple design. Gorgeous coloring

Suzette: Image is perfect for your paper and elements

Zora: Stunning...Love the flow of your design

Fabulous cards ladies Please feel free to grab the I made TOP 3 banner on the right of my blog!

Feast your eyes on the DT's amazing "Snowman " Creations.

Will You Be My Valentine?

Happy Friday!!!! I hope you are having a FABULOUS week.  I am feeling like this has been the longest week EVER!!! I have recently taken a new job and have been doing orientation all week and man is it boring.....I can't wait to get trained and start my new position....I have also decided that I am never going to be the kind of nurse I want to be without furthering my education and obtaining my bachelors degree, so I have decided to sign up for some classes and start towards that degree...Yeap, I thought my hubby was going to have a heart attack when I told him that I signed up for school again.  I can't say that he was thrilled, but he is supportive and that is what is  important.  On top of those two things happening this week, I came home today to find my son sick...He had been coughing for a couple of weeks, but nothing serious, but when I saw him today, I knew he was sick.  When we got to the pediatricians office, he registered with 103.4 temp...boor baby, he has the FLU!!!!  The poor kid is so sick. I hate when the kids get sick. I feel so bad and just want them to feel better. Hopefully
with the Tamiflu in him, he will be on the mend soon.  So, like I said, it has been a REALLY long week....Come 5pm....
So, here we are heading towards mid January and Feb 14th isn't that far away, and while my hubby and I don't really celebrate Valentines Day, I do enjoy the Holiday and the decorations and things it brings. We always get the kids a little something on Valentines and I love to make cards and valentines with the kids.  So, this weekend I made this card using my "Heart Cammy" stamp from I Brake For Stamps.  Isn't she the sweetest image?  She is just adorable and she has three other stamps similar to her....SOOOO Cute!!!! I really am a sucker for little girl images.....and don't forget, if you decide you "Have" to have this stamp and would like a discount, feel free to use the following discount code:SAVE10KRISTEN for a 10% discount on your whole purchase....
Well, that is all I have for you today...Like I said, it has been a week and an exhausting week.  While my family and I have booked weekend, I am planning on getting some stamping in even if I have to lock myself in the basement, and actually, seeing that my son has the flu, we maybe putting some of those plans off, so stamping I will do.....So, have a great weekend and happy Creating!

Love Comes in All Shapes & Sizes!

Happy Wednesday!!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I had a FABULOUS weekend. Friday night a friend and I had a wild and crazy night at BINGO....LOL..we only go once in a while, and every time we go we have a blast listening to all the older women complain about all the wrong numbers getting called and how all the same old people win...it really is hysterical.  Then on Saturday I spent the day stamping with Mary, Peggy, Pia, Donna and Michelle.  That is always a good time. This year, we are all on diets and making life changes and eating healthy, so it was nice to get together and we all made healthy dishes, which is a really good thing....It is amazing how fast the time goes by when we are together....Sometimes when we get together, I end up doing more chatting than stamping, but this time I was able to chat and stamp, and I managed to complete 5 projects...Wahoo....I think that is a record for me...Then on Sunday, my son had hockey practice and then we had lunch with my parents and then we visited the in-laws....It really was a jam packed fun weekend!
Today's project is a Journal page I created on Saturday for today's Stampotique Originals weekly challenge. This weeks challenge is Die cuts or punches.  I started my journal page, as I often do, not knowing what the heck I was going to create.  For the first time in a long time, I actually used Gesso and when from there. A little Dylusion spray here, a little spray there and then it all came together....I used heart dies and sprayed them and then used stencils and sprayed Mr. Huey's white spray over the stencil, and let it dry while I was coloring my image...I did a little doodling and added my elements and BAM....page complete...I completely love this Little Hoo-Hoo stamp from Stampotique....So freakin cute and the saying is just adorable!!! This is a great challenge and I hope you get a chance to play along with us and you have got to check out the DT's creations for this weeks challenge, as the DT is AMAZING!!!!!
Well, that is all for me today, I am off to get inky and hope you are too....Have a great Wednesday and happy creating!

Happy New Year

Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week.  This week has been a pretty slow week for me. The kids went back to school and hubby went back to work, and I don't go back to work until Monday, so I have been hanging around getting things done. I have kicked off the New Year by crafting, mostly coloring images every night, even if for a little while. I have found it very relaxing.
Today's card is not my "typical" type of card. I used this New Years collage stamp from I Brake For Stamps.  This year, I am trying to explore many different types of stamps, as well as media types.  Be creative I say......Well, that is all for me today, I hope you have a fabulous weekend and happy Crafting!

Life is About Using the whole Box Of Crayons!

Happy Tuesday!!! Hope you had a wonderful New years day!  My family and I spent most of the hanging around the house. Hubby took the kids sledding and I was able to get the house cleaned....I love a day when we have "nothing" planned......just a day to relax....that is exactly how I wanted to ring in the New Year!
So, I have some SUPAH exciting news to share with you today....I have been asked to be January's guest Design Team member for Stampotique Originals.....Wahooo....Of course I said yes, right after I was done dancing around my living room with excitement....LOL...Seriously, I was SOOO excited...as you may know, I am a HUGE fan of their stamps and they have the most amazingly talented DT, and I am thrilled to be a part of it, if only for a short time.
Today starts Stampotique's first challenge of the year and they are kicking it off with :
Dear Diary.... It's the beginning of a new year so time for calendar pages, diaries, 2013 journal covers. For this challenge, I went with a journal page, as it is my favorite thing to create right now, and with one of my New Years resolution being to create MORE, I went with a crafty page.....This page was super fun to make...I think one of the reasons I enjoy creating journal pages so much is because when you start, you never know what it will look like in the end.......Kind of like a New Year!!!!!
Well, that is all for me today. I hope you have a fantastic day and happy Creating!

Supplies Used:
Ink: Dylusions sprays, acrylic paint, Ranger black ink, white pen
Computer generated words.

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Something New

Happy New Year.....I hope you all kicked off the New Year Safely...My family and I kicked off  New Years Eve in our pjs at home, just the way we like it:)
So, in case you didn't have a chance to catch our last post prior to Christmas, Going Grey With Scrap-Creations challenge is now a bi-weekly challenge.  So this "something New" challenge will end on Monday January 14th at 6pm.  Were you lucky enough to get anything "new" for the holidays??? Honestly, I have been trying VERY hard not to purchase to much lately, but I did buy this new Christy Tomlinson paper, as well as the snowflake stencil that I used in the background of this journal page.  I traced on of Christy's diecuts and added my own touch to her girl diecut.  When I look at this page, I think "what a mess", but you know what, it is my mess.....LOL...
So, this week we want to see one of your creations using something "new" to you......We can't wait to see what you create....but first, I want to show you what the DT created for this weeks "Something New" challenge:
